VOLUNTEERS
HOPE is always seeking ways to better serve children and increasing numbers. Volunteers and financial support are therefore needed. Please make your willingness to support this vital community effort known to us. You will be blessed by “Helping Our Pupils Excel!”
Our most important volunteer need is for tutors who act as mentors and can provide the after-school help our students desperately need. Our tutors are community volunteers from all walks of life. Most are not trained teachers. They are business men and women, lawyers, accountants, housewives, retired citizens, honor society high school students, college students, and, yes, some are teachers.
Tutors must fill out an application form, agree to a criminal background check, and attend a training/orientation session. A donation of $8.00 is requested to cover the background check.
