Programs

What makes our School Year Tutoring and Summer Programs unique?

We strive to place students in a one-on-one tutoring situation.
The student’s homework is considered first priority, and once it is completed the tutor and student work on an academic area suggested by the parent, teacher or H.O.P.E.

Each tutoring site contains:

    1. two computers with PLATO Educational Software, Encarta Reference Library and Math software
    2. a library of grade level reading books
    3. magazines
    4. dictionaries
    5. encyclopedias
    6. reading and math learning activities

Healthy snacks are served daily.

Incentives are used throughout all programs.
The H.O.P.E. Bucks program and a Spelling Bee encourage achievement.

Tutoring and mentoring provide opportunities for the student to grow in self-esteem.
Students set a goal to improve their academic grades and maintain satisfactory conduct and/or show conduct improvement on their report cards.
